A variable high-cut filter gives you precise control over the subwoofer´s frequency response. Cutting excessive highs prevents the sub from muddying up the main speakers´ output. Set the filter around 80–120Hz for seamless blending with the satellites. The filter affects the subwoofer output, not the thru connections so you maintain a full-range signal to other speakers.
